This 2022 Gruner Veltliner hails from Austria. In 1992, Anton Bauer became the fourth - generation owner of his parents' small winery. He's committed to organic and sustainable winemaking. Today, the winery spans 40 hectares and all grapes are hand - picked. The Wagram region, with a rich history as a Napoleonic Wars battleground and formed by ancient Danube deposits, has mineral and fossil - rich clay and loess soil. This allows the vines to develop deep roots, making them drought - resistant. This white wine offers zesty citrus, crisp green apple, and spicy white pepper flavors, with a creamy and rich palate. It pairs perfectly with a goat cheese flatbread or a lobster dish.
