Castro Ventosa 'El Castro de Valtuille' - Godello

This 2019 Godello white wine hails from Bierzo, Spain. Founded in 1752 by the Perez family, Castro Ventosa crafts some of the finest wines in the region. Bierzo's mountain - surrounded location creates a distinct microclimate. The quartzite and slate soils give the wine rich flavor while keeping acidity in check. The family, now with 75 hectares, hand - harvests grapes in one day. The grapes are fermented in a mix of new and used oak barrels and aged until the next harvest. This 100% Godello wine has a lovely texture, with hints of stone fruit, citrus, and minerality. It pairs perfectly with lobster tail or creamy garlic scallops.

To enjoy this Castro Ventosa 'El Castro de Valtuille' Godello wine, first, chill it in the fridge for about an hour or so. It's best served slightly chilled, around 45 - 50°F.
