Domaine des Hauts Baigneux 'Les Chenes' - Chenin Blanc

This 2019 wine is 100% Chenin Blanc from Azay le Rideau, Touraine, France. It's a real treat to find a delicious and affordable Chenin Blanc, and this organic one is a gem! 'Les Chênes' is a blend from different parcels around the Azay le Rideau appellation in Cheillé and Vallère, an area known for its amazing terroir - driven Chenin Blanc. It has lovely aromas of white flowers and pear, and it's lively and beautiful. The wine is fermented in stainless - steel tanks, aged in 3 - 4 year old used barrels for 1 year, and then back in steel for 6 months.

This Chenin Blanc is perfect for sipping on its own or pairing with a variety of foods. For a light meal, try it with fresh salads or seafood. If you're having a heartier dish, it can also go well with poultry. When serving, chill it to around 45 - 50°F (7 - 10°C) to bring out its best flavors. Keep the wine in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, it's best to finish it within 2 - 3 days. Just seal it well and store it in the fridge to slow down oxidation.
