Domaine St Remy - Pinot Noir Reserve

This 2022 red wine hails from Hengst, Alsace, France. It's a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Pinot Noir Hengst. The Domaine, certified organic and biodynamic, was founded in 1725 and has been family - run for generations. Now, the 7th generation of the Ehrhart family runs it with the same winemaking passion. They have 25 hectares of land, including 4 Grand - Cru terroirs, all hand - harvested. The Hengst site is one of only two Grand - Cru areas allowed to make Grand - Cru Pinot Noir. The fruit ferments with the juice for 2 - 3 weeks and ages in stainless and burgundy barrels for 10 months before bottling. With flavors of raspberry, sweet red cherries, and a hint of spice, balanced by a refreshing acidity, it pairs perfectly with paella, red meats, or pizza.
