Domaine Yves Cheron 'Jardin d'Eden' - Vacqueyras

This 2019 red wine from Domaine Yves Cheron is a blend of Grenache and Syrah grapes. It hails from Vacqueyras in the Southern Rhone region of France. Winemaker Yves Cheron, originally from Burgundy, moved south in 1982 to join his father. He has since gained a deep appreciation for the unique terroir here, with limestone and calcareous soils at the foothills of the Montmirail mountains. On the palate, expect bold flavors of black plum, blueberry, and tart cherries, with a hint of sweet tobacco on the finish. It pairs perfectly with caramelized lamb shanks or aged Gouda cheese, making it a great choice for a special meal or gathering.
