Elk Cove Estate - Pinot Noir Rose

In 2022, this rosé hails from the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Pat and Joe Campbell chose the Elk Cove site because of its thin soils and steep, hilly landscape. They named it after a herd of Roosevelt Elk that rested near their trailer in the 70s. Now, Adam Campbell manages their 6 vineyard locations. The grapes are hand - picked and lightly pressed, barely crushing the skins to make 'white Pinot Noir'. Then, selected Pinot Noir juice is added for color and texture. On the nose, you'll detect the scent of strawberry blossoms. In the mouth, there are lots of strawberries, red cherries, and lime zest, with a full, juicy finish. It pairs perfectly with a classic shrimp cocktail.
