Ferrandiere - Syrah

Ferrandière is a winery in the ancient wetlands of the Languedoc, in the large southern French region of Pays d'Oc. It focuses on crafting 100% varietal wines. After winter floods, the vines get a natural watering, which not only helps them yield a bountiful summer harvest but also protects them from the harmful root louse, phylloxera. This allows the vines to produce pure - flavored fruit, making the wines an excellent value for daily enjoyment. This Syrah has intense flavors of blackberry, licorice, and dried herbs. It pairs perfectly with lamb tagine or Indian cuisine.

To enjoy this Ferrandiere Syrah, first, let it breathe for about 15 - 30 minutes after opening. Pour it into a wide - bowl wine glass to enhance the aroma. Serve it at a temperature of around 55 - 60°F (12 - 16°C). This wine is great for casual weeknight dinners or social gatherings. Keep it in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight when not in use. If you have any leftovers, seal the bottle tightly and store it in the refrigerator. It can stay fresh for a couple of days, but the flavor might start to change after that.
