This 2021 Blaufrankisch wine hails from Burgenland, Austria. The certified organic winery started in a small garage. Its founders, Dominik Gober and Gerald Freinbichler, and their friends bought land from co - op members and improved farming methods. The grapes for 'Vineyard Project 004' come from Neckenmarkt and Hortischon vineyards. Each site imparts its own unique terroir, resulting in a ruby - colored wine with flavors of cranberries, raspberries, cherries, spice, and a touch of smoke. It offers a perfect blend of mineral, earthy, and fruity notes and pairs excellently with seared meats and dark sauces.
