Montenidoli - Toscana Rosso

This 2019 Sangiovese comes from Toscana, Italy. 'Montenidoli' means 'mountain of the bird nests'. The estate overlooks the charming town of San Gimignano, with Chianti Classico in the distance, and is a biodiversity oasis. Spanning over 200 hectares, only 24 hectares are dedicated to vines. Winemaker Elisabetta Fagiuoli, with over 50 vintages, is a pioneer in women - led, organic winemaking in Tuscany. Her Toscana Rosso, made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, bursts with flavors of red plums, dried cherries, and herbs, along with hints of balsamic, leather, and pipe tobacco.
