Product Description
In 2018, Mullineux Family Wines crafted this exquisite red blend. Comprising 44% Tinta Barocca, 38% Syrah, and smaller portions of Grenache, Cinsault, and Carignan, it hails from the Swartland region in South Africa. Chris and Andrea Mullineux, a winemaking couple with rich experience in the diverse terroirs of France, California, and South Africa, founded the winery in 2007. They were captivated by the Swartland's schist and granite soils and ancient vineyards, convinced of its ability to produce outstanding wines. This 'Kloof Street' blend offers a fresh, medium - bodied taste with alluring scents of red and black cherries, plump blackberries, violets, and a touch of black pepper. It pairs perfectly with seared lamb shanks and charred broccoli rabe.
To enjoy this Mullineux 'Kloof Street' red wine blend, simply chill it slightly before pouring. You can serve it in a standard wine glass to fully appreciate its aroma and flavor. When it comes to food pairing, as mentioned, seared lamb shanks and charred broccoli rabe are great choices, but it also goes well with other red - meat dishes and some hard cheeses. Keep the wine in a cool, dark place when not in use. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, as this can affect its quality. If you have an unopened bottle, it can be stored for a few years, but once opened, it's best to consume it within a few days. Just cork it tightly and keep it in the fridge to slow down the oxidation process.
