Patrick Giboulot 'Les Boutieres' - Pernand-Vergelesses

This 2022 Pinot Noir hails from Pernand - Vergelesses, Burgundy, France. Domaine Brana, a vineyard in the small appellation of Irouléguy in the Basque Country, has vines planted in the mid - 80s on steep hillsides of a narrow terrace. It's now run by Étienne Brana’s children, Jean and Martine. The farm uses bio - natural farming and is 'HVE' certified, which focuses on increasing biodiversity and reducing pesticides and fungicides. The white wine here is a 50/50 blend of Petit Courbu and Gros Manseng. The grapes are macerated on the skins before settling. Fermentation happens in stainless steel vats and finishes in bottles. It has white fruit and floral notes with a crisp mineral finish. Pair it with fresh seafood and cheese for a great French dining experience!
