This 2020 Pinot Noir hails from Recas, Romania. In 2002, Petro Vaselo's owner Nello Dal Tio was captivated by the Recas hills, reminding him of his nature - filled childhood in North - Eastern Italy. He decided to grow excellent wines here. In 2005, 42 hectares of vines were planted, and the first harvest was bottled in 2009. The region's hills create a microclimate ideal for viticulture. Grown in clay soil, this elegant and complex pinot noir has a zesty acidity. On the nose, you'll detect cinnamon and red cherry notes, and a hint of chocolate on the palate. It pairs perfectly with beef wellington, grilled polenta with mushrooms, and BBQ pork ribs.
