Vigno - Dao White

This 2020 white blend hails from the northern Dao region of Portugal. It's crafted by Elisa Freire Lobo, the pioneer female winemaker in her area. Using biodynamic and organic methods to tend the grapes, she creates a truly charming wine. Comprising 50% Encruzado, 35% Bical, and 15% Cerceal, this wine benefits from the granite - rich soil, which imparts a subtle minerality. The significant daily temperature variations from the nearby mountains help the grapes retain a lovely acidity. With dominant notes of lemon zest, pine needle, and green apple, this refreshing and slightly creamy wine pairs perfectly with shellfish, lean fish, and cured meats.
