Product Description
Jim Maresh stands as the first third - generation winemaker in Oregon's history. His father and grandfather were among the earliest forerunners in the state's viticulture and winemaking. Growing up on his family's vineyard, Jim has a truly one - of - a - kind affection for the red hills of Dundee, its vineyards, neighbors, and the changing seasons. You could say Dundee is like a second home to him. Also, he cultivates some of the oldest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines in the US. The 2017 Pinot Noir from Dundee Hills has a pale ruby color. It starts with enticing aromas of woodsmoke, crushed pink peppercorns, garrigue, dusty earth, and dried leaves, along with notes of cranberries, wild blackberries, red berries, and a hint of cinnamon spice. It has a light body, an elegant style, spicy fruits, a soft structure, and juicy freshness, with a long finish.
To enjoy this Pinot Noir, simply chill it in the refrigerator for about an hour before opening. When pouring, use a wine glass with a wide bowl to allow the wine to breathe and release its wonderful aromas. Take small sips to fully savor the complex flavors. Keep the remaining wine corked and store it in the fridge. It's best to consume the rest within a couple of days to maintain its freshness. Avoid exposing the wine to direct sunlight or high temperatures, as this can spoil the taste. And remember, this wine pairs well with light meats, such as chicken or turkey, and also with various cheeses.
