Coca i Fito 'Aloja' - Blanc

This 2020 white wine hails from Terra Alta, a rural Denomination of Origin (DO) in southern Catalonia, Spain. Once mainly for local consumption due to its secluded location - so beautiful that Picasso painted its countryside hills - this DO now thrives with 12 municipalities housing long - standing and new wineries. Using modern and traditional winemaking, they craft amazing wines. Coca i Fito's 'Aloja Blanc' is a blend of 90% White Grenache and 10% Macabeo. In the glass, it offers a fresh and mineral - rich taste, with notes of acacia flower, apple, herbs, and citrus fruits. Aged for 4 months in stainless - steel tanks on its lees, it gains body and flavor. As it ages, you'll detect smoky, baked peach, and honey notes. Perfectly paired with Pork Chops with Spiced Apples, Paella, or Manchango and Calabrese cheeses.

To enjoy this wine, simply chill it to around 45 - 50°F (7 - 10°C). Pour it gently into a white wine glass to appreciate its aroma and flavor. You can drink it right away, but if you want to explore more complex flavors, let it age in a cool, dark place. When pairing, remember that it goes well with pork chops, paella, and certain cheeses.
