This 2023 Albariño hails from the Subzone Salnes in Rias Baixas, Spain. Do Ferreiro, a family - run estate led by Gerardo Méndez, has five hectares of vineyards in Galicia's Rías Baixas. Despite being founded in 1973, the family's vineyard history here spans generations. The vineyards in the coastal Salnes Valley have sandy and granite soils. Méndez farms organically to let the grapes capture the essence of their home. Grapes from 15 - 50 year - old vines are fermented in stainless steel with native yeasts. This wine has bright acidity and a firm structure. Enjoy it young and fresh or after a few years of aging.
