Ferraton 'La Matiniere' Crozes-Hermitage Blanc

In 2021, Ferraton crafted this splendid Crozes-Hermitage Blanc, 'La Matiniere'. With humble beginnings in 1946 on just .3 hectares in Hermitage, Ferraton has grown into one of the Rhone Valley's biggest and most productive producers, going biodynamic since 1998. This wine is 100% Marsanne, a native Northern Rhone grape. On the nose, it offers a lovely mix of acacia, fresh blossoms, and golden apples. On the palate, it's like a wave of sun - kissed lemons, peaches, and honeycomb. It's fresh yet creamy, leaving a long, lasting finish with subtle notes of toast and almond skins. Pair it with veal blanquette or pasta with herbed Bechamel sauce for a great meal.
