Ferreri - Catarratto

In 2020, this outstanding 100% Catarratto white wine hails from the beautiful island of Sicily, Italy. Our distributor Daniel met Rosario Ferreri 15 years ago, and Rosario told him that this wine was voted the top white wine at Vinitaly the previous year. After tasting it, we completely understand why. Harvested from clay and limestone soils, these unique soils impart notes of bitter almond and a touch of salinity. The Catarratto grape itself offers the refreshing flavors of freshly squeezed lime and orange juice. If you let the wine breathe for a bit, you'll detect hints of ripe pears. This one - of - a - kind white wine is an ideal companion for fresh mussels or baked goat cheese.

To enjoy this Ferreri Catarratto white wine, first, let it breathe for a few minutes in an open glass. This allows the flavors to fully develop, and you'll notice the lovely hints of ripe pears.
