Product Description
This 2017 wine is a blend of 82% Shiraz and 18% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Barossa Valley, Australia. The Glaetzer family migrated to the Barossa Valley from Brandenburg, Germany, in the late 1800s and were among the first viticulturists in Barossa and the Clare Valley. Over a century later, Glaetzer Wines was established, and now Ben Glaetzer leads the way. His belief is that great wine starts in the vineyard. The fruit for this rich Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon blend comes from old vines - 30 - 100 - year - old Shiraz and 30 - 130 - year - old Cabernet. It offers intense, complex, and bold flavors of fresh black cherry, blueberry, anise, and dried herbs. You can enjoy this delicious wine right now, or it will age gracefully for decades.
To enjoy this Glaetzer 'Anaperenna' Shiraz blend, first, let it breathe for about 30 minutes before pouring. This helps to open up the flavors. You can serve it at a temperature of around 60 - 65°F. It pairs wonderfully with grilled meats, like steak or lamb, and also goes well with rich, flavorful cheeses. When storing the wine, keep it in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and temperature fluctuations. If you have an unopened bottle, it can be stored for a long time, and as described, it will age beautifully. Once opened, try to finish it within 2 - 3 days. Just seal it well and keep it in the fridge to slow down the oxidation process.
