Moulin de Gassac Picpoul de Pinet

2023 Picpoul from Languedoc, France. In the 1970s, Aimé and Véronique Guibert de la Vaissière bought an old farmhouse in the Gassac Valley. With geologist Henri Enjalbert's help, they planted Cabernet Sauvignon vines and built an underground cellar. Their first vintage was bottled in 1980. Now, four of their five sons run the family business, respecting nature and expressing the terroir. This 100% Piquepoul white wine is fresh and crisp, truly showing the terroir and the benefits of clay - limestone soils. It has notes of yellow flowers, citrus fruit, and a bit of saltiness. Perfect to pair with shellfish or a summer salad.

To enjoy this Moulin de Gassac Picpoul de Pinet white wine, first, chill it in the fridge for about 1 - 2 hours. This will bring out its fresh and crisp flavors. When serving, use a standard white wine glass. As for food pairing, it goes great with shellfish like shrimp or oysters, or a light summer salad. Keep the wine in a cool, dark place when not in use.
