I didn't grow up in the wine industry, but many family members made fruit wines. At 12, I tasted a burgundy, which was so different from our family wines. That's when I decided to become a winemaker. When my wife Lil and I bought land in Sonoma County, we planted various Pinot Noir clones in our vineyard. In 1997, our first bottling of Pinot Noir marked the birth of 'Vision Cellars'. Every year is a new and exciting learning adventure. It's all about the 'Vision'.'
