Caruso & Minini - Catarratto

This 2022 Catarratto white wine hails from Sicily, Italy. Situated on Sicily's far - western coast, the winery's story begins in the 1800s when Antonio Caruso bought it to grow grapes for nearby Marsala factories. It stayed in the family for generations. In the 1900s, Nino Caruso started making and bottling their own wine under the family name. In 2004, they joined forces with Mario Minini of Lombardy to create a certified organic winery. Made entirely from Catarratto, Italy's second most - planted white grape variety, it offers delicious flavors of pineapple, lemongrass, and a hint of salt. It pairs perfectly with seafood risotto or pasta alle vognole.
