Castell d'Encus 'Taleia' - Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon

This 2018 Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon blend hails from Costers del Segre, Spain. Winemaker Raül Bobet chose this spot in the Pyrenees in 2001. It's possibly the highest vineyard in Catalonia, reaching up to 3280 ft. The estate spans 95 hectares, but only 23 are planted with vines. The rest is dense woods, creating a polyculture that's great for the vineyards and the ecosystem. 'Taleia' combines mostly Sauvignon Blanc with a bit of Semillon for added texture and complexity. It's full of flavors like stone fruit, ripe green apple, lime, river rock, and sweet almond. It pairs perfectly with creamy garlic chicken.

To enjoy this wine, simply chill it in the fridge for a couple of hours before serving. It's best served in a standard white wine glass to enhance the aroma and flavor.
